Basically, GDIs (or gigabyte disc images) and can not be selfbooted or burned to a disc (due to being over the 799mb limit of a CD). To convert it (correct me if I'm wrong), you basically extract all the data and repack it as a CDI for burning. After repacking, you can then make it to selfboot. Repacking is where my problem is. GDI is a full 1:1 format accuretly dumping the game but the compatibility with current emulator isn't very good; CHD is compatible with the emulator but people doesn't mention it very much : when converting GDI to CDI is the compatibility as least as good as CDI ? also can you convert ISO (which aren't compatible with the emulator) to CHD ?
